Policy

We collect the data needed to operate the website, process purchases, provide the Software, protect the service, and support customers:

• Account and contact data — name, email address, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash), company name, postal address, VAT number, and correspondence or support requests.
• Purchase and license data — the license type and products purchased, license key, payment reference and payment status. Card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
• Activation data — machine name and identifier, installed product and version, activation, revocation, and license-validation/check-in records needed to operate the license service.
• Security, checkout, and download records — IP address, user-agent, referrer, approximate country suggested during checkout, approximate download location, login activity, download-token activity, and administrative security records. We use this data to assist checkout, protect the service, investigate abuse, and provide support.

We do not currently embed third-party behavioural analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the Software. Apple, Microsoft, or another platform provider may process and make available limited diagnostic information under the device and marketplace privacy settings you control. If Visionmill introduces its own diagnostic or general usage collection, we will update this Policy and provide any notice or obtain any consent required by law before the new processing begins.

Some products have additional privacy information because their data handling differs from the website and licence service:

• Simple BP — health readings and related information are stored and processed on your device. Visionmill does not receive that health data. See the Simple BP Privacy Policy for its local storage, Apple Health, reminders, and export features.
• App Store purchases — Apple or another marketplace processes the store account and payment data under its own privacy policy. Visionmill receives only the information that the marketplace makes available to developers and does not receive your full payment-card details.

We use personal data to:

• create and administer accounts, process purchases, issue licenses, and provide downloads and Software updates;
• activate, validate, renew, revoke, and support licenses and installations;
• respond to enquiries and send transactional, security, and license-related notices;
• operate, secure, and improve the website and license service, including preventing fraud, unauthorised use, and abuse; and
• meet legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. You need to provide the account, purchase, and license information marked as required in order to enter into and administer a direct purchase or licence. If you do not provide it, we cannot create the account, process the direct purchase, or operate the licence. Optional fields are identified as such.

We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

• Contract — where processing is necessary to provide the account, purchase, license, download, or support you request.
• Legitimate interests — to reduce checkout errors by suggesting a billing country from approximate network location, secure the service, prevent abuse and unlicensed use, maintain records, and operate and improve our business. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
• Consent — where required, including optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time using the contact details below.

We do not sell or rent personal data. We use service providers where necessary to provide Visionmill Apps and the Software:

• Stripe — payment processing and payment-fraud prevention. Card information is processed directly by Stripe. Stripe privacy policy.
• IONOS — website hosting, email-related infrastructure, and database hosting.
• Apple and other app marketplaces — distribution, store purchases, refunds, and platform services. The marketplace acts under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Google — delivery of website fonts. Google may receive technical request information such as IP address.
• ipapi.co — approximate country lookup for checkout suggestions and approximate country and city lookup for download requests; the service receives the request IP address.
• jsDelivr — delivery of website icon and script resources; the service may receive your IP address and technical request information.
• Cloudflare — delivery of website resources and privacy-focused Web Analytics on public Visionmill Apps pages. Cloudflare receives technical request, page-view, and page-performance information needed to provide those services. Cloudflare privacy policy.

Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where a transfer is restricted by applicable data-protection law, we will use an approved transfer mechanism or other appropriate safeguard. You can contact us for further information about applicable safeguards.

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. In practice, this means that account and license records are retained while the account or license remains active and afterwards where needed for support, accounting, tax, legal claims, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Security and download records are retained for the period reasonably required to investigate security or service issues. We review retention using these criteria and delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

The approximate checkout-country suggestion is not stored as a separate purchase record. The billing country you confirm is retained with the transaction.

Product data kept only on your device remains there until you remove it using the product or operating-system controls, or delete the product and its local data. Product-specific notices explain any exceptions.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

• Right of access — to request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data where there is no overriding legal basis for retention
• Right to restriction — to request that we limit how we use your data
• Right to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

This Policy covers Visionmill Apps and its customer account area as well as the Software. We use essential cookies or equivalent local browser storage to maintain signed-in sessions, protect accounts, and support security features. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural analytics.

On public pages we may retain first-touch campaign parameters (source, medium, campaign, content and term), the landing path, and the referring website hostname in your browser for up to 90 days. If you later request or download an installer or complete a purchase, those limited fields are stored with that conversion event. We do not create a visitor identifier, retain the full referring URL, or attach this attribution to your account, email address, license key, payment card, IP address, or machine identifier.

Public Visionmill Apps pages use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views and page-load performance. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and says it does not use cookies or local storage to collect metrics, track visitors across websites, or collect or use visitors' personal data.

Operational licensing statistics are stored only as daily aggregate counters by product, outcome, app version, and platform. They contain no customer, serial-number, or machine-level event record.

Our pages may load fonts, icons, and scripts from Google Fonts, jsDelivr, and Cloudflare. Those providers may receive technical information when your browser requests those resources. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, although essential website features may then not work correctly.

Optional website analytics are off unless you choose to enable them. You can withdraw consent at any time. This preference does not affect purchasing, downloading, account, or licensing functions, and those sensitive pages never load optional analytics.

Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you directly.
